What Is An Instagram Meme?
If you are unfamiliar with what an Instagram meme is, let me break it down for you.
An Instagram meme is a post or picture that consists of any combination of text, graphics, images, videos along with hashtags.
So basically they are like an advertisement/advertisement on Instagram that helps you get noticed. They are effective because once you post one people will then repost your advertisement by resharing it or tagging their friends in it which in turn will grow your fanbase (your following).
Of course, some people think that if they take a picture or video on their phone along with adding hashtags to gain new followers then technically it’s no longer called a meme but whatever!
All I know is these things work and I have seen many celebrities use them so I am going to teach you how to do it too.
The first thing we need to do is figure out what type of meme we want our advertisement to be based on: funny, inspirational, motivational, etc.
Once we decide on that we can start writing our caption under each photo or video such as I woke up like dis #hairgoals #blessed #instagood #smile #like4like etc.,
Now before anyone thinks oh my God she just made those up bla bla bla, No I didn’t!
Those are actual captions from actual Instagram posts right now as I write this very sentence.
Do you see what I mean? Just look at your feed and copy something similar. You don’t even have to make anything up because there are already millions of pictures out there that have already been posted multiple times so chances are someone has already used a similar phrase or hashtag somewhere else.
The most important part about creating an Instagram meme is making sure you include as many relevant hashtags as possible when posting your picture or video.
This way when someone searches for a certain hashtag they will find yours instead of having to scroll through thousands upon thousands of pictures trying to find yours amongst all the others.
Why Should I Use Instagram Memes?
Creating a meme can be a lot of fun, but there are also some good reasons why you should consider doing it.
It can be a great way to entertain your existing followers (and potential new ones), engage with them, and even solicit likes, comments, or follows in return.
Here are some tips on how you can start creating your own Instagram memes
Find an image that will work well as a meme:
The best images to use as memes tend to be funny, interesting, or both. They’re usually not too busy either, you want enough space around your text so that people don’t have trouble reading it.
If you need help finding one, try searching Google Images using keywords like funny pictures or interesting photos.
Write your caption:
Once you find an image that works for your purposes, think about what kind of caption would go well with it.
You could choose something funny or witty, offer up a quote from someone famous, or makeup something entirely new.
Whatever approach you take, just make sure it fits with whatever message you want to send out through your post.
Add your caption to your image:
Now that you know what you want to say, all you have to do is add it to your photo. To do so, simply open up Instagram and tap on Stories at the top of your screen.
Then tap Your Story in order to see all of your previous posts. Tap on any one of them and then scroll down until you see a button labeled Add Caption.
Tap on that button, type out whatever words or phrases you’d like included in your post, and then hit Done.
Send it off into cyberspace:
After adding a caption, all that’s left is sending off your photo into cyberspace for everyone else to enjoy.
Creating your own, in two different ways.
Creating your own memes gives you an opportunity to add a personal touch that most other marketers don’t have.
Some people in your industry might be able to make viral content, but nobody will ever say My brand does things just like that when looking at your photos.
To really stand out as a marketer, use these tips on how to create Instagram memes for more followers and engagement so your social media is both relevant and unique.
If you want even more ideas for creating your own memes, keep reading as I have written how to find memes to post on Instagram under the heading below.

Get free stock photos.
Trying to create a meme but can’t find any good stock photos? Don’t worry. There are plenty of free images you can use on sites like Pexels or Unsplash, if you know where to look.
(Hint: Free photos are typically found on blogs.) A small $20 investment in Shutterstock can also land you thousands of stock images.
Using hashtags
Using relevant hashtags on your posts can help you reach a wider audience, as Instagram will surface your post based on related hashtags.
Before publishing a post, search through popular tags that are relevant to your content. To get an idea of what tags might be relevant, look at other accounts in your niche or people who engage with you.
If you notice they use certain hashtags often, it’s likely those are good ones to include.
Also, make sure not to overdo it, the last thing you want is for users to scroll past your post because it has too many hashtags.
Adding text, using Picmonkey
To create an Instagram meme that gets lots of likes and follows, you’ll want to be able to use text. You can do so by using a photo editing tool such as Picmonkey. If you are familiar with how to add text on other social media platforms, then feel free to use your favorite pic editing software. For example, you may already know how to add text with MS Paint.
Posting from phone
Most people post from their phones. It’s simple, you’re on Instagram when you’re bored or killing time, so it just makes sense.
Although posting from your phone is a great way to keep up with what other people are doing, it limits how much content you can share.
Editing your images in Canva
For most people, Instagram is an image-based social media platform.
If you’re looking to stand out from your competition and gain more followers, it’s important that you capture quality images.
You don’t need an expensive camera; just use free online tools like Canva to edit your images so they are professional in appearance.
Be sure not to add filters or change the contrast if you want your work to look authentic.
Applying filters.
When you’re looking at pictures, do you ever wonder how they got that way? Some of them have been edited using filters, which can enhance an image.
If you use these on your pictures, it’s a good idea to learn about them first so that you don’t end up overdoing them. If you want to create Instagram memes, here are some things you should know Filters aren’t just used for making pictures look pretty; they can also be used to change colors in order to convey a certain feeling or mood.
For example, if you post a picture of something dark or depressing, adding sepia will help brighten it up and make it seem less gloomy.
Post when most people are online (Hashtags!)
The best time to post on Instagram is actually different from what you might think. Generally, most people are online between 8 am and 10 pm EST (5 pm – 1 am PST).
To make sure your posts get in front of as many eyes as possible, aim for posting during these times. However, that doesn’t mean you should blast your audience with a barrage of photos in one sitting, be careful not to annoy them.

How To Find Memes To Post On Instagram
If you’re looking for funny pictures, videos, or other images that you can use on your Instagram posts, you have tons of options.
Of course, there are dozens of meme generator apps (with names like Meme Creator) that give you a wide selection of pre-made content.
But there are also plenty of websites where people upload their own images with captions, sites like:
- REDDIT and
- IMGUR are goldmines if you need free content.
You can also search for specific hashtags on Instagram and look through recent posts from accounts that are relevant to your brand.
You can even find some great original content by following popular meme accounts and seeing what they post.
Just make sure you always credit others when using their work; copyright is potentially infringed otherwise.
The steps above will get you started on finding new, fun content to share with your audience. But what about creating those epic Instagram memes? It might seem intimidating at first, but once you get going it gets easier.
The basic idea is that most good memes involve juxtaposing two different things in an unexpected way: a picture along with text over top.
There are lots of ways to do that, but here’s one quick example: Start by taking a photo of yourself and adding a caption.
Then take another photo of something else entirely and add another caption.
Add both photos together into one image.
Then save your finished product as a .jpg file before uploading it to Instagram. That’s how easy it is.
Once you’ve mastered simple memes, try experimenting with more complex ones involving multiple photos or videos. Remember, practice makes perfect so don’t worry if your first few attempts aren’t perfect. The important thing is having fun while getting creative with your social media strategy.
How Do I Get More Followers On Instagram Meme?
Make sure your meme is interesting, funny, cool, or relatable to your target audience. Then find some good hashtags that you can use when posting.
Make sure that you use relevant hashtags in your post so it will be easier for other people who are searching those topics on Instagram to find your post.
Lastly, spread out your posts over different times of the day. This way you will have a better chance of reaching new audiences throughout the day.
You don’t want all of your posts being posted at midnight because then no one would see them until morning.
You can also make an account on a website like MEMATIC which allows you to search through thousands of memes that are already created by users just like yourself.
You can then use these pre-made templates as inspiration for your own content creation. When creating memes, make sure they’re eye-catching with bright colors and/or clear text so they’ll stand out from other pictures and videos people might see while scrolling through their feed.
How Do I Find Memes On Instagram?
Memes are all over Instagram. You may even be a little jealous of how much fun your friends seem to have to play with them, collecting likes on their posts, and boosting their online presence.
Want in on all that fun? Look no further. We’re going to teach you how to spot, collect, and post memes on Instagram so you can win at social media just like everyone else.
Let’s get started!
Search #Hashtags:
When you want to find good memes, it helps to know what they look like and where they live.
The easiest way to start is by searching hashtags (keywords) associated with meme accounts. These accounts tend to repost other people’s images and use a lot of popular hashtags along with their own unique ones.
To search these tags, go to your home page on Instagram and type in a few keywords into the search bar. For example, if I wanted to see how others were using #humpday or #tbt I would enter those words into my search bar.
Follow Hashtag Accounts:
After you’ve found some interesting tags, follow any account that seems relevant or interesting.
This will give you an idea of how people are posting memes, and help you develop your own style.
Check out Trending Tags:
If you don’t have time to sift through every hashtag under the sun, check out trending tags instead.
This will give you a general idea of what kind of content is being shared most often on Instagram, which means there’s probably an audience for it as well.
Watch Other People’s Content:
Another easy way to get inspired is to watch other people’s content. Once you’ve found some good tags, head over to your feed and watch how other users are creating memes.
Pay attention to things like format, font choice, color scheme, and caption length. Then make note of which styles you enjoy and which feel natural for you.
Don’t Be Afraid to Experiment:
While it’s smart to study how other people do things, remember that creativity comes from experimentation.
Don’t be afraid to try new things and step outside of your comfort zone when you’re trying to create something new.
Post Your Own Content:
Once you have a handle on how others are creating memes, try making one yourself! Start small with a single image and build from there.
Share Your Content:
After you’ve created your first meme, share it on Instagram and cross your fingers.
Hopefully someone will notice how funny/clever/adorable/insightful/etc. it is, but remember that not everything has to be perfect right away; practice makes perfect.

How Do You Find Memes To Post?
If you’re trying to find good content that aligns with your brand, look for trending hashtags. Try doing a quick Google search of #trending #hashtags plus your industry, for example, #trending #hashtags #fashion.
This will give you an idea of what people are currently talking about in relation to your industry, which is a surefire way to find things worth posting.
How do you post them?: Once you’ve found a meme that works well for your audience, it’s time to post it. When posting on Instagram, make sure you use relevant hashtags so that potential customers can easily find and follow your account.
Also, be sure to mention how long you’ll be running the contest or giveaway. How do you get people to engage? The most important thing when creating a contest or giveaway is getting people involved.
The best way to get others engaged is by using popular hashtags related to your contest or giveaway (such as #contest).
You can also ask followers questions in order to spark conversation and increase engagement (such as How many likes would it take for me to buy myself a new car?).
Remember: Engagement isn’t just limited to likes; comments, shares, and retweets all count too! How do you collect entries?: There are two ways to collect entries for contests and giveaways: manually or automatically.
To manually collect entries, simply require users to tag their friends in a comment before they can enter. To automatically collect entries, use something like Rafflecopter or Woobox.
These services allow users to enter without having to tag anyone directly, they just have to click enter once they’re on your page.
How do you choose winners? It’s always smart to put some thought into how winners will be chosen ahead of time because it makes everything run much smoother once you’re ready to announce who won.
How To Find Good Memes On Instagram
If you’re not on Instagram, you’re missing out. If you are on Instagram, but find yourself struggling to attract more followers and engagement, then you’re really missing out.
One way that I have found a lot of success with gaining both followers and interaction is using meme accounts in conjunction with my business account.
Meme accounts have been around for a while but they still seem relatively untapped as a potential avenue for engaging audiences on social media platforms. The key here is finding good meme accounts to follow.
There are lots of them out there, but here are some tips for finding them:
1) Search for Instagram memes or memes on Instagram in Google Images.
2) Find an account that has a lot of followers (the more, the better).
3) Click through to their page and check out their most recent posts.
4) Check their bio: if it says something like Follow me if you want cool memes or I post memes, then they’re probably not a good account to follow.
5) If they have an email address or website in their bio, they’re probably legit.
6) Click through to some of their recent posts and see how many likes/comments they get. The higher, the better.
7) Check out their account activity – are they posting consistently?
8) If you like what you see, you might want to follow them.
9) Now that you’ve followed a few meme accounts, go back through your feed and look at some of their recent posts.
10) Comment on a few of them with something funny/interesting.
11) Repeat steps 1-10 until your Instagram is full of nothing but cute/funny pictures and comments from people who think you’re funny.
This can be time-consuming, but it works. I have used these techniques on my business account to go from 0 to 2,000+ followers in a matter of months.
It takes a lot of work and effort on your part, but I promise that if you do it right (and are consistent), you will see results! The key here is consistency.
You have to be willing to put in a lot of work up front if you want results later down the road. It also helps if you’re genuinely interested in memes because then they won’t seem like work at all.
Can I Put Memes On Instagram?
The short answer is yes. Instagram allows you to add a comment on your posts, including captions and hashtags. You can also add emojis or stickers, with certain ones even changing color depending on their placement.
And there’s one other feature that’s made it easier than ever to use meme-style pictures in your posts: Instagram Stories, which adds a special sticker option just for creating memes.

But creating Instagram-worthy meme graphics can be time-consuming, especially if you don’t have much experience in graphic design.
Luckily, there are a few free apps that make it easy for even beginners to produce great-looking images.
There are many different tools available for making Instagram-ready graphics, but these three apps stand out as particularly user-friendly.
We recommend using one of these options to create your next batch of content. It doesn’t matter which one you choose; they’re all free (though some may offer premium features).
Canva:
Canva is arguably one of the most popular design tools available today. The app boasts over 1 million users worldwide and allows anyone to create professional-quality designs, with no design skills required.
Even better? You can use Canva for free. To get started, just click Sign Up in the upper right corner of their homepage. After creating an account, you’ll be taken to a page where you can start creating your first project.

PicMonkey
PicMonkey is another powerful design tool that offers a ton of useful features for social media marketers and graphic designers alike. Just like Canva, PicMonkey also has a free version.

From there, follow along with their simple registration process until you’re ready to start designing.
Piktochart
Piktochart is similar to Canva and PicMonkey in that it’s geared toward non-designers who want to create high-quality images quickly and easily.

How to find a specific meme on Instagram
Instagram is filled with just about every meme you can think of. They’re posted by everyone from friends, to brands, businesses, and celebrities.
But if you want a specific meme, how do you find it? There are many ways to track down what you’re looking for and how you do it depends on how much detail you need.
You can search for any type of meme using simple or advanced search terms, here are some other tips and tricks:
Try searching by related hashtags If there aren’t any results when you search with a particular hashtag, try related ones instead.
For example, if you search #catmemes but don’t find anything, try #cats or #kitty. You can also use OR in your query, for example, #cat OR #dog OR #puppy will show posts tagged with one of those words.
And finally, make sure you capitalize correctly; Instagram is case-sensitive. Use location tags Some users tag their posts with location information to help others discover new places.
So if you want to see what people are posting from a specific city or neighborhood, start typing it into Instagram’s search bar, you might be surprised at what pops up.
Search within another account To find content from specific accounts on Instagram, look through their profile page and click on Photos & Videos under their bio section.
From there, scroll down to Related Posts and tap See More. This will take you to a page where you can view all of an account’s recent posts.
Keep in mind that not every user has these options available, so it might not work for everyone.
Check out SAVED SEARCHES. Saved searches are great because they let you track content across multiple platforms, including Instagram. Start by clicking on Saved Searches under your profile photo in the top right corner of your screen.
