If you’re looking for a great balance transfer card and have excellent credit, check out Citi’s ThankYou PremierSM Card.

This is one of my favorite cards for helping to pay down high-interest debt. The ThankYou Premier offers an introductory APR of 0% for six months on both purchases and balance transfers.

And it has no annual fee! While I like that you don’t need an annual fee to reap these rewards, I do wish there was some way to earn extra points as you pay off your debts. Still, it’s a great option if you’re trying to pay down balances quickly without accruing interest charges by transferring them over.

After your promotional period ends, regular rates apply 15.99%-25.99% variable based on your creditworthiness.

So keep in mind that while you’ll save money with lower interest rates during your promotional period, those rates will go up after it ends unless you can pay off what you owe before then.

Gold Delta SkyMiles® Credit Card from American Express

Unlike many cash-back cards, which give you a flat rate of 1% back on all purchases, the Gold Delta SkyMiles® Credit Card from American Express offers three different types of rewards: 2 miles per dollar spent at restaurants and on eligible American Airlines purchases; one mile per dollar spent everywhere else; and 10,000 bonus miles if you spend $25,000 within your first year.

Those bonus miles can be redeemed for a variety of things like gift cards or flights. When it comes to helping you save money when paying down debt, no other credit card beats it with an introductory 0% interest rate for 18 months (with a 3% balance transfer fee) followed by a variable 15.24%-26.24% APR.
